It's Great To Be Eight!

Last Saturday Abbie had her baptism. She was sooooooooo excited to finally get dunked! She was also so excited to wear her one of a kind confirmation dress. Jesse's aunt Nancy made it for her. We all love it! It was perfect cause it had a splash of lavender, so it wasn't just the boring "all white" dress. (That made me happy :). The funny thing was when the Stake Primary President was introducing her to the congregation, she said Abbie's favorite scripture story was Joseph of Egypt. I was sitting there thinking, "Really? I barely know that story. How the heck has she become a bible expert?" Later that night I was asking her about her new found scripture knowledge. She just started to laugh her butt off and confessed she doesn't know that story, she meant Joseph Smith and the lady thought it was the other Joseph she was talking about. I was relieved that she hadn't surpassed my minute knowledge of the bible.

When we got home that night, I was flipping through the channels and stopped on the BYU game. She was standing in front of me so I couldn't see the score. I asked her what the score was and she said, "Oh my gosh, BYU is totally getting their butt kicked!" I was sad cause they are so sucky this year, and then she moved out of the way to reveal that they were actually winning. She started to laugh her devilish little laugh when I reminded her that she had just told a lie right after being baptized. She immediately stopped laughing and looked totally traumatized. That's when I had a great laugh...
Did I mention I HATE getting my picture taken at all, let alone when I'm pregnant? Notice, I'm trying to keep Dylan exactly in front of my growing belly? I know its not fooling anyone, but me.
Abbie's friend Riley was also baptized the same day. There has been plenty of jokes that this looks like a future bridal/engagement picture. Wouldn't that be hilarious if that actually happened? I think they look great together!

Cute pics! We didn't get to go into the font w/ Tyler and Riley- how did you get so lucky? I love using the "you are baptised" line now to keep them in line!
