A New Friend?

So my oldest sister is going through a divorce from the world's BIGGEST loser of a guy. I actually don't know if you could even call him a guy: pansy, idiot, moron, liar, doofus, selfish, bad father, bad husband, bad person-are better ways to describe him. Anyway, about four years ago, he brought home a German Shepard puppy they named Bear. My sister didn't want him, but when you're married to the above named girly man, it didn't really matter what she wanted. Now the wiener has moved out of the house and guess what? He doesn't want Bear either. So my sister has been trying to find him a good home. She has been telling us for months he would be a good addition to our family. I was skeptical because I have always been scared to death of big dogs and scared to death of him. He looks like he could eat you up and spit ya out without even blinking. Meanwhile, Jesse has always wanted a scary dog to freak out potential bad guys. He has been quietly considering Bear for awhile. Finally, with my blessing (and him promising I don't have to do one thing for him) he went and got him. He is so giddy now with two dogs to take care of. I was less giddy at first (instead VERY scared) and I chose to keep my distance. But, I will admit, I have had a change of heart. He is the sweetest dog ever. So calm and gentle-especially with the kids. He has actually been kind of fun. I know, I can't even believe I'm admitting that! It's also a bonus to know we have a great security system ready to take any evil do-ers down. He even has a celebrity twin-Robert DeNiro. They look like they were seperated at birth! Someday when I can post pictures I'll do a side by side comparison-it's awesome. Maybe we should change his name to Bobby.

I can't believe you have two dogs!

We have a German Shepherd and she is a great dog. I had them growing up to and they were the best.

You have given me hope that someday maybe we can have a pet too because right now I'm pretty anti-pet. Thanks. I can't wait to see him.

Tell your sis that my thoughts are with her - she was always a sweetie to me. Bear sounds awesome and you are such a good wife. Remember hiding from my dog, Tank, on the playhouse!? I'm amazed you have 2 dogs now! Tell your hubby you must really love him!

I'm just now reading your blog... Wow I can't believe you got 2 dogs!! I'm glad you got another one, animals are great therapy. I have 2 crazy pugs and considered 1 more but mine are way too hyper. We should hang out sometime and I'm willing to babysit if you and Jesse want to have a date night.
