Is It Possible I'm Not As Young As I Think I Am?

Lately the kids and I have been obsessed with the show "Cake Boss". Cake is my most favorite dessert, we love to imagine how good the cakes taste and see the amazing things Buddy can do with cake and frosting. The other day we were watching when Buddy was talking about when his Dad died. There was a flashback video to 1993. It showed Buddy and his Dad, at the bottom of the screen was written, "Buddy-1993, 16 years old". I stopped to think about that and if my calculations are correct I was 15 in 1993. That means Buddy is only one year older than me. Could it be true? He looks like an old man to me.

To make matters worse, I was talking to my almost 16 year old niece the day after Christmas. She was telling me about some teacher and not painting her in the best of lights. I asked her if she was "old". She responded by saying, "ya, kinda". Then I made the mistake of asking her if she was around my age. She says, "ya, probably". What? I still feel like I'm the youngster. I don't know when I became "old", and I gotta say it's not cool.
