Oh, my Abbie. I love her so much, she is so much fun, she can make me laugh so easily, but she has an evil twin that comes out every so often. Miss Dramatic. She is literally the most dramatic person I have ever known in my life. I seriously believe she will be nominated for an Academy Award one day, and I'm not even kidding. She has down the art of crying on demand. We can say, "cry Abbie" and she will hold the bridge of her nose, get in the right frame of mind and start crying with tears and all the drama of a soap opera. I guess you could say its a talent of some sort, I don't know.
Today we all felt like crap when we woke up. Scott has been sick since Friday and the rest of us are starting to feel junky. (I took him to the dr. and its just one of those "lovely viruses".) So I let Dylan and Abbie stay home from school and rest. They must of been in too close of quarters for too long cause by early evening they had argued several times ending with Abbie running up to her room crying. I think we counted the crying to be around 7 times. Now if there were something seriously wrong, I would have been an awesome nurturing, consoling mom. But, with 7+ times of this, you can see why I just have to let it go and let her get over it.
I guess she was feeling neglected because she hand delivered me an envelope with a letter inside that read:
Dear Mom,
I never want to be your best friend again. Even when you're nice. (Please write me back)
I replied (a little immaturely I'll admit):
Dear Abbie,
That makes me want to cry, but I guess you don't care cause you don't want to be my friend.
Her response:
Mom I didn't mean it that way. But if you want me to move, then just say so.
I have to say I did giggle in my mind after reading that. I immediately hugged her and she cried (on cue) and we became very best friends again. What a roller coaster ride we are on!

Aren't you glad you only have one? (Girl that is). Although I have to admit she wins the drama prize. Ryan already plans to move out at PMS time at our house.
I estimate PMS bouts will be a little longer with louder and more drawn-out crying spells over more outlandish reasons! If she does insist on moving out via letter, she can come stay with me - we'll go to Hollywood for auditions!
I'm glad I was blessed with boys only. LOL
Oh, how funny! Thanks for the laugh. I totally agree about girls being dramatic. What we have to look forward to...
Love this! People always feel bad for Emma with 4 brothers, but the truth is she dishes out enough girl to compensate for all four boys!
