Strep Throat, What's That?

Abbie got her tonsils out on Monday morning (bright and early at 6:00 am). She was a serious trooper. Besides some crying when they first brought her into recovery, (the Lortab hadn't kicked in yet) she has done awesome! Hardly no complaints at all. Actually I'm beginning to forget what her voice even sounds like because she has barely even said, "boo". She was super excited to get the flower/ladybug blanket from the hospital. They gave her a coloring book and crayons too. Before they took her back to surgery, they gave her a nifty sedative that made her so loony. It was HILARIOUS listening to her slur her words and see pictures on the wall come to life. It was seriously just the laugh I needed so I wouldn't get too overly worked up when they wheeled her back. She is on day 3 now and actually sitting up and eating some Halloween candy. I think she will be good as new by the weekend, and bonus, no more strep throat every other month!
