When we had Scott 14 months ago, we had been calling him "Scottie" since the time we had the ultrasound and found out he was a boy. A few months after his birth, Jesse started calling him "Scooter", and the nickname has totally stuck. Now at a point in his life when he should be walking around the house, he doesn't do anything but "scoot". He doesn't even crawl in the conventional sense, he just scoots around and has gotten pretty fast at it! My other two kids did the normal progression of rolling, crawling, and walking. Not Scooter, he has proven that he takes his nickname, and he scoots with it.

At least he's moving. My nephew crawls with one foot on the floor, it's fairly amusing. He'll get there, in his own scooting way.
