Are we frenemies?

Today I can't get my former best friend off my mind. I know when you have feelings like this, you are supposed to call that person. My pride is in the way of doing that, so I'm going to blog about her instead. We were best friends since the 2nd grade. We were roommates in college, and still liked each other after college. (That is not always the case, my 2 sisters hated their best friends after they lived with them in college.) We were in each other's weddings. This is us at her wedding:

I knew things would change when we got married, but I always wanted to keep in touch. She ended up moving to Twin Falls Idaho about a year after she got married. I called her about once a month and really enjoyed our conversations. When she was in town I would plan lunch dates or try to get together. I then realized that I was the one making all the efforts in our friendship. After one of our get togethers with our other two college roommates, I decided that the ball was in her court, and I was going to wait to hear from her. That was almost 3 years ago, and guess what, I'm still waiting. I don't know what happened between us, but it is really pathetic to say that I miss her. I obviously don't think about it all the time, but I do have days like today and I wonder how she is doing. Anyway, the point of this, is to enjoy your friends when you have them. So, thanks Nicole for always being there even when you lived in Israel. I really cherish our friendship!!!!:)
