This last Saturday after spending a long day at the swimming pool and then going to a barbeque at Jesse's parent's house, Jesse decided we NEEDED to go to Target and buy a guitar hero game for our wii. I tried to talk him out of it because I thought it was "a waste of money" and I'm so not spontaneous. Boy, was I wrong. We were up that night until almost 1:00 playing the dang thing and having a blast! Dylan was even a trooper and stayed up with us. Abbie fell asleep on the couch (she doesn't share the same love for the guitar hero). Jesse, as usual, was awesome. He could play almost anything and even grooved while he played. I was my usual borderline crappy self, although I have improved a little bit since I stayed up and played Sunday night. So, Dylan thinks this is just the funnest game ever. He has always fancied himself having a band with his friends and always talks about what songs they would play and what they would wear. He is getting pretty good at playing and really digs the rock songs.
Fast forward to yesterday at church. We are sitting in our primary class after the lesson coloring the maze I gave to the kids. Everyone is just coloring and minding their business when Dylan busts out into song. What does he sing? Of course, "I wanna rock and roll all night, and party every day" as made famous by good ol' KISS. I started to crack up. Somehow I'm proud that he knows this music, and I felt like singing along with him during primary!
