Last Friday I took the kids to the Peppermint Place in Alpine. I have always loved the Peppermint Place! Not only is it fun to watch the ladies decorate the candy sticks, but they have these certain red suckers that I love. The best part is that the suckers are found in the "seconds" section so they are extra cheap. Jesse and I visited the Peppermint Place the morning we got engaged, so it has that fun memory too. The kids have never been there, so I thought "score" this is the perfect place to go. But wait, no one told me they moved acrossed the street! What a disappointment. Not only could we not watch them make candy, but they also didn't have my favorite suckers. I was so disappointed! The building they moved to is cute, but it just isn't the same. Why do things have to change? I hate it! Despite it all, the kids got some cool gumball golf clubs which made them seem happy, so I guess it wasn't a total flop!

What? They moved and you can't watch the zombie women decorate the peppermint sticks...or the men dump the taffy, or the ladies box the hundreds of conveyor belt candy? I love...loved...the Peppermint Place. I guess I won't be making my annual trip down there for the Easter candy next year. So sad - thanks for the warning.
