8 Years and Counting...

On Sunday, November 9th, Jesse and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. If you call Jesse staying home with a sick Scottie while I went to church to teach primary-celebrating. It seems like we've been married way longer than 8 years. Time has flown by. We met a gym while working out. We had our eye on each other for a little while and the first time Jesse said "Hi" to me, I said Hi back really fast and hurried on my way. I was really shy and scared to death to talk to him. Luckily, my weirdness didn't scare him off and a few days later while I was on a weight machine, he approached me again. (I guess he thought I couldn't escape off the machine very easily.) His opening line was, "I didn't catch your name!?" I remember thinking, "duh, that's because I never told you." We went on talking really easily even though I couldn't figure out his name. I called him Jeff, Justin, and almost every other J name possible. We got along so great that we were inseperable from the get go. We were married 1 year and 1 month later. We are so opposite in many, many ways. Jesse is really outgoing, friendly, and fun. While I'm more reserved, quiet, and pretty boring. It is our differences that make our relationship work. We balance each other out quite nicely! I honestly can't imagine my life with any one else and I'm soooooooooooo glad I followed what I felt in my heart. Here's to at least 80 more years...

Congrats! I think it is hilarious you met at the gym - I can totally see you trying to avoid him even if you thought he was cute! And, you are not boring.

I can't belive it has been 8 years (9 1/2 for us). I think you guys are a great couple. The great kids go along with those years. I second the 80 more years.
