Bingham Sons and Daughters...Roll Along To Victory

Okay, it's been 12 years since I graduated from high school and for the first 8 years after, I couldn't have cared less about if they were winning or losing. The next 4 years have been a different story. My favorite nephew is one of the starters on Bingham's football team and it has been sooooooooooo fun watching him play these past years. He is awesome. He's acutally going to college next year on a baseball/academic scholarship, but he still rocks on the turf. He broke his arm early this season and was bummed when he had to sit out a few games. When he finally returned, he wasn't able to play offense with his big, bumbling cast so he was defense only. I don't know how, but he has managed to make 4 interceptions during the playoffs with the huge "Hellboy" cast. He's not only an awesome athlete, but actually, kind of a perfect kid. Next week they play Alta (BOO!) for the State Title. It's so pathetic to admit, but I can't wait to watch. GO MINERS!

That heart-wrenching story almost makes me want to cheer for the Miners...but alas, I have to be true to my school (well, at least my kids' school)!

oh now c'mon I'm from Alta high, and I married a Bingham Minor. But I never got into high school football, or anysport much. I'm more into the college or NFL type thing. Go UTES!
